A Path Through the Grove

One journey, in her own words

The Sacred Grove provides safe housing, education, and medical care to women rebuilding their lives. The timeline below records eighteen months of progress for one woman in our program, in her own words.

The foundation has helped me change my life in ways I never imagined. Their support helped me become independent and start a new life in Lima, where I was able to continue my university studies. It has also helped me with my mental health, my overall health, my jaw surgery, obtaining my visa, and many other important things that would have been very difficult to afford on my own. Without this help, I honestly don’t know where I would be today, because many of the opportunities I have now would not have been possible for me. Their support has given me much more than financial aid: it has given me security, hope, opportunities, and the chance to build a better future.

From the bottom of my heart, I am deeply grateful because the foundation has given me the opportunity to feel safe, move forward, and build a better life for myself.

In gratitude
